André Serero
Executive Vice President, Business and Legal Affairs and Corporate Secretary, CTVglobemedia
Serero was appointed Executive Vice President, Business and Legal Affairs and Corporate Secretary in October 2007, and is responsible for all business affairs pertaining to CTVglobemedia and its subsidiaries, as well as for the provision of strategic counsel and all legal matters. He is also Corporate Secretary for CTVglobemedia. From 2001 to 2007, Serero was Group Vice President, Legal and Corporate Secretary, CTVglobemedia.
Serero was voted Corporate Counsel Newsmaker of the Year by Canadian Lawyer In House magazine in October 2006 and, in June 2007, was awarded the Canadian General Counsel Award in the Dealmaking category.
Serero is the Chairman of the Legal Advisory Committee of the Canadian Association of Broadcasters. He is also a member of CTVglobemedia’s Corporate Governance and Compliance Committee as well as its Pension Management Committee, and is a member of the boards of directors of CTV Specialty Television Inc., Discovery Channel, Discovery Civilization Channel, Animal Planet.
Serero holds a Bachelor of Civil Law (B.C.L., 1987) and Bachelor of Laws (LL.B., 1987) from McGill University.
